Voice of Haipei
This is the 19th issue of the “Voice of Haipei”. In this series, and starting from the 17th issue, our teachers and students have been and will be working together to present a selection of the following: an excerpt or the full text of a piece of well-recognized writing (literary or academic), a response to an IELTS, TOEFL, or SAT question (to give you an example of a high-scoring answer), or an original creation. We hope that by listening and appreciating, our interest in exploring further will be spurred. Remember, for all keen learners, lending an eager ear to the input and reading critically and analytically are effective ways to improve our intellectual capacities and communicative abilities. With sincere dedication and concerted efforts, we will be enriched, empowered, and enlightened.
This 19th production is in three parts. Part I is an introduction to the University of Lancaster. Part II is an introduction to the SISU*Haipei-Lancaster Program. Part III is a poem dedicated to the city of Lancaster. The production is an outcome of the concerted efforts of our teacher Ben Keegan and five SISU*Haipei-Lancaster*2020-2021 students. Their contributions are as follows:
Ben Keegan: Reader of Part I – Introduction to University of Lancaster
Chen Fangcheng: Reader of Part II – Introduction to the SISU*Haipei-Lancaster Program
